Job description
Brennan Manna Diamond is a growing 70 attorney/120 employee law firm in search of an experienced candidate to fill the position of Director of Marketing.

This opening is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to BMD's marketing department.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
Education requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, MBA preferred
Experience requirements
• 5+ years of marketing/management and leadership experience
• Candidates must present a current portfolio at interview
• Working in a moderately noisy, fast-paced office environment
• Expertise in digital marketing including but not limited to social media and content marketing
• Competent in Microsoft applications, design software, email marketing software, and other programs required to perform duties
Qualifications
• Ability to evaluate and develop firm-wide marketing strategies
• Planning and coordinating all marketing efforts
• Build and present marketing plans to the management committee
• Communicating the approved marketing plans firm-wide
• Build awareness and positioning of BMD's brand
Responsibilities
Internal Marketing:
• Lead, manage with full accountability of the Marketing Department
• Prepare, present, supervise, and track annual marketing budget
• Provide periodic reports on the results of the marketing plan
• Implement business development strategies
• Provide hands-on support and follow through on all projects
• Develop and implement high-level relationships with clients, business publications, professional organizations, industry, and educational institutions along with speaking and conference presentation opportunities
• Ensure marketing are efforts are within standards firm-wide
• Provide guidance and support geographic marketing efforts among attorneys in multiple offices and practice groups to further the firms' culture and business strategy including branded materials, budget and client events
• Share best practices firm-wide to maximize the productivity of business development and marketing efforts
• Direct the gathering and production of information and materials for business development purposes including the preparation of background material on prospective new clients
• Set up a protocol for responding to Requests for Proposals, and work with attorneys on these requests • Develop and provide firm-wide support regarding cross-selling efforts for BMD products
• Work directly with attorneys to develop and implement conferences for clients, prospective clients, and organizations • Promote civic and community engagement including bar associations, board service and pro bono efforts
• Develop, plan, implement and/or supervise receptions, attorney attendance at events, trade show booths, client focused seminars, and community related activities to raise the firms' visibility and name recognition
• Encourage attorneys to be collaborative in marketing efforts, including participating in the firms' monthly business development meetings
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through industry related workshops, publications, networking, and participating in activities sponsored by the Legal Marketing Association

External Marketing:
• Develop, coordinate and execute firm events such as client appreciation events, attorney retreats, practice group summits, workshops, and speaker series
• Coordinate political fundraisers with governmental relations department and chairman's office
• Develop, execute and manage the firms' media and public relations strategy. Draft press releases and articles for publication. Maintain a good working relationship between the news media and the firm
• Generate publicity and recognition pieces to publicize successes
• Coordinate distribution of the firms' articles, and publications, including announcements, invitations, and electronic newsletters
• Supervise, maintain, update and provide improvements to the firms' website (content management), social media, electronic mailing, and email contact lists (email marketing) and search engine optimization efforts (SEO)
• Prepare sponsorship's, and sponsorship ads
• Prepare HR recruiting and firm branding hiring materials
